Enjoy one of the most romantic hot air balloon rides in New York!, Take in the stunning views while you ride over the serene New Jersey countryside.

Description:
Enjoy one of the most romantic experiences available, a private hot air balloon ride over the serene New Jersey countryside.

Your flight begins either at sunrise or before sunset. You’ll rise gently above the earth onboard in our FAA certified hot air balloon, piloted by a highly experienced commercial pilot, for the romantic experience of a lifetime!

Hot air ballooning is magical. The feeling of being as free as the wind. . . that is what ballooning is about!

This private flight is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. Your flight will last about an hour but the memory will last a lifetime.

Essential Information:

Flights are available to all ages, however children under 4 are often frightened. Our pilots are certified by the FAA as commercial balloon pilots and are qualified to carry passengers for hire.

*For safety reasons there is a weight limitation of 750lbs per balloon*

Duration:
1 hour of flight time

Maximum Participants:
2 Per Flight

Spectators:
Not Allowed

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent. Ballooning is strictly a fair weather-light wind activity. Generally a balloon launch is not possible when the wind speed exceeds 10 mph. This is why balloon flights occur around dawn or a couple of hours prior to sunset when winds are usually lightest and the air is the most stable. If weather conditions cause a postponement of your flight, the experience provider is happy to reschedule the experience.

What to Wear:
We recommend that you dress as if you were going for a hike. The temperature during the flight is basically the same as it is on the ground. Most of the flight will be below 1,000 ft., and the temperature is only 3 degrees cooler even at that altitude. Please do not wear sandals or open toed shoes. Athletic shoes and socks are perfect. The propane burner system which creates the heat for our hot air balloon is located above your head, so a hat is suggested.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 14 days in advance for weekends and 3 days in advance for weekdays.
Will I Get "Seasick"?
No. There is no feeling of motion in the balloon. The balloon is completely stable and does not swing or sway. It is nothing like an amusement ride.
How High Do Balloons Fly?
Normal flights go about 2,000 feet but the pilot may go higher or lower to obtain various wind directions.
Can You Steer The Balloon?
No. There is no steering device. The pilot can only go up or down to obtain different wind directions. No two flights are alike as you are at the mercy of the wind.
What Weather Conditions Do We Need?
Generally winds of 10 m.p.h. or less with no precipitation and no thunder storm activity. The Captain has a saying that "it is better to be on the ground, wishing you were in the air, than to be in the air, wishing you were on the ground!". We have a perfect safety record since starting in 1987 and intend to keep it that way!
How Do We Get Back To Our Cars?
The pilot is radio contact with our "chase vehicle". Our crew will meet us at our landing site. After packing up the balloon and our customary champagne toast, we will drive you back to our launch site. Your friends and family are also welcome to join in the balloon "chase".
What Should I Wear?
Dress for the conditions of the day. Contrary to belief, it is not colder aloft, in fact it is usually warmer. The burners can be hot on a warm day so caps are recommended. Wear waterproof shoes for sunrise flights as the grass is always wet. Please do not wear sandals or high heels.
Are Cameras Allowed?
Absolutely, however, we're not responsible for their safety. Oversized camcorders and camera bags may not be allowed due to space restrictions.
When Do You Fly and for How Long?
Balloons can only fly at sunrise and 2 hours before sunset when the winds are light. Flights normally last 45 - 60 minutes but can be shortened or lengthened by conditions. Plan on a total of 2.5 - 3 hours for the total excursion.
When Is The Best Time To Fly?
The weather is the most dependable June through August . Most people want to wait until the leaves change in October but are often disappointed. October is a windy and rainy month. 80% of our flights are normally weathered out. To discourage waiting until October, we have instituted a $10 surcharge per person.
*We end each flight with a champagne celebration, a tradition that began in the 1700’s. (Non alcoholic available by request) Certificates commemorating your balloon ascension are then issued. Tee shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, caps and our professional DVD are available for sale.

If I am afraid of heights could I enjoy a balloon flight?
Absolutely! In fact most of the passengers have some fear of heights. Strangely enough there is no feeling like that of being on the edge of a tall building or the feeling you get on a Ferris wheel. Ballooning is calm, almost serene. If you can handle an airline flight, you will probably really enjoy ballooning.
Can I bring a camera?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a camera along, but do so at your own risk. Cameras must be stowed for landings.
